Publisher's Notes

This January issue of the Old Town Crier marks the 25th time we have printed a January issue.  Looking back 25 years ago, not only does it seem surreal, but it also seems like it was just yesterday.  We put our first issue together in December of 1987 in Dave Underwood’s dining room.  Dave was my friend and business partner who passed away in January of 2007.  He has been missed!

We could have been one of those stories about how the business got started in a garage, but it was a cold December…so this business got started in the dining room.  We had no computer, in fact, back then we didn’t quite understand what a computer was, so we hired someone to print out galleys for us and we pasted them down on boards.

On the Road

The Old Town Crier traveled to
the Unverzagt farm in Lingle, Wyoming last month. Checking
out the holiday happenings around Old Town are young Mason Unverzagt sitting on an antique horse-drawn mower
with his "Papa" Dave Unverzagt while Tucker Dog stands watch. Looks like someone had a white Christmas!
