Hi! I'm Monkey. I'm six years old and the king of the jungle. Why "Monkey", then? I bet it's because I like to sit atop my cat tree. I recently returned from one of the shelter's foster homes where I was recovering from a burn wound on my back. The shelter folks aren't sure how the burn happened, but I'm a positive kitty and am focused on the future! My foster family would tell you that I am a playful and affectionate lap cat. I have great litter box manners, and I'm pretty easy-going. I like to cuddle and will sleep on your bed at night if you let me. During the day, I'm happy to keep myself busy. I take a while to warm up to new people, but once I settle into a new situation, I'm a great companion. I'll be honest, I'm probably not the best choice for a home with very young children as I don't like my paws and tail touched. Other than that, I'm PURRFECT! Come on by to meet me. Hi there - I'm Sammy! I’m a nine year old Corgi mix and have the zest for life of a youngn’! I’m a fun little guy who's looking for a new place to hang my hat. My family had a new baby and decided that finding me a family who had more time to spend with me would make me happier. Could that family be you? An older household suits me best as children tend to make me nervous with their fast movements and wrapping their arms around me. Perhaps my favorite thing is a lap. I’ll hop up into yours like a flash, and I bet you won’t want to put me down! I have lived with another dog in the past, so if you have a calm canine companion for me, that’s great! I like to play with others but especially love to play with toys - stuffed squeaky ones are the best. At twenty-two pounds, I’m an easily portable dog. Let’s take some walks together! Come by and meet me; you won't be disappointed!
