Oysters have long had the reputation of having many aphrodisiac-like qualities and what a better way to get your feel during the “Month of Love” than slurping your way through the 3rd Annual Chesapeake Oyster and Beer Festival....and Wine Too!

One of the Trigger Agencies many fun-filled events that are held annually at the Harbor, the Beer and Oyster Fest has become one of the more popular. So popular that they have moved the location to a bigger location - the Gaylord National Resort!

According to our friends at Trigger, the festival is an ALL-YOU-CARE-TO-TASTE extravaganza complete with thousands of oysters - raw, steamed, roasted, and “Rockerfellered” along with other mouth-watering seafood, great music, exhibits and so much more.

What should you expect?

ALL YOU CARE TO TASTE – Beer and Wine!

Over 20 beers and wines and a few spirits. All of your favorite craft beers and perfectly paired wines will be served to highlight the seafood on-hand.  A listing of all those brands will be posted on the menu page of the website approximately 2 weeks in advance.

ALL YOU CARE TO TASTE - Oysters

Raw Oysters - SHUCKERS, SHUCKERS, and MORE SHUCKERS. They make sure there are enough shuckers so that you spend your time eating and not standing in line. Over ten types of oysters will be shipped in from around the world.  Each oyster will have its own shucking station - so there will be no confusion. Their world class shuckers will be on-hand to serve them to you fresh.

Grilled Oysters - Last year this was a huge hit and Chef Lawrence and the boys in the kitchen will be grilling up your favorites: BBQ Oysters, Minonettes, Chevre and Chives and many more.

In addition to the oysters, National Harbor's and Wash DC's finest will be on-hand serving you their favorite oyster and seafood dishes. On of which is the infamous Frogmore Stew. Each session will enjoy  this down home Charleston favorite of roasted seafood and oysters.

You can expect to see many fun exhibits including 20 vendors selling everything from hot sauces to jewelry all with an oyster theme! All this combined with some great beer drinkin’, oyster slurpin’ music. Wait, and that’s not all…..you even get a Souvenir Glass!

The festival runs all weekend from Friday, February 24th t0 Sunday, February 26th. The Friday session begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m., Saturday session runs from 12 Noon to 4 p.m. and the Sunday session takes place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets must be purchased prior to the event and the charge for all three sessions is $89.00.
