Thank you for your interest in Raven. She is a 3 year old Labrador Retriever. Raven is a spunky young girl! She can be loving and affectionate once she settles down—but this does not happen quickly! Raven is looking for an adopter who can provide structure and guidance to help her learn self control and how to settle. Fortunately, Raven likes food and is willing to work for treats—she already knows a few commands, including “sit,” “down,” “speak” and “roll over.” What a motivated and quick learner! After burning off some energy, Raven likes to settle down nicely and will rest at your feet chewing on a tennis ball or chew toy. Raven would do best with someone with some dog experience, and children over 8 years. Currently, Raven weighs 70 pounds and is overweight. She needs a regular exercise routine and high quality food to help her shed at least 10-15 pounds.

Manteo (foreground) is an affectionate boy who’s looking for a forever home to share with his 3-year-old gal pal, Oceana (background). They were brought to the shelter after being found as strays. Manteo is a little shy around strangers, but warms up nicely when you go slowly with him and treat him to some gentle pets. He also enjoys being held and cuddled, and luxuriating on a comfy lap. Oceana is a sweet girl who’s a little nervous around strangers. Although she takes a little time to warm up to new people, her lovely personality is well worth the wait! Oceana loves being treated to plenty of pets, head rubs, and cheek scratches. She also enjoys curling up in a warm lap.
