1 - How did you get started in the Bartending business?
I was applying for a railroad job on Henry Street in the late 70’s and my high school friend, Jim Niten, was managing the Fish Market Restaurant. I went by to say ”Hello” and he convinced me to work for Mr. Ray, as a waiter. I do so for five years, bartending sporadically on the 2nd floor dining room. Lot’sa Schlitz in big glasses!
2 – Who has been your favorite celebrity patron?
Jim Marshall, the famous Rock-N-Roll Photographer and Ginger Baker, the drummer for the bands, Cream and Blind Faith. Jim Marshall’s a complete mad man with intellect and a passion for Powers Whiskey. He has the power to turn a bar room on it’s ear. Ginger Baker, a polar opposite, quiet with a passion for limericks, “There once was a drummer from Nottingham Pass……..”

White Russians, Beware the woman who drinks White Russians.
